Wawasan Dengkil unit enters 25-year sublease for solar plant site


PETALING JAYA: Wawasan Dengkil Holdings Bhd's indirect subsidiary, WD Solar Kedah Sdn Bhd (WDSKSB), has subleased 278.8818 acres of land in Pendang, Kedah, from Pembangunan Iltizam Sdn Bhd to house its solar photovoltaic (PV) plant there.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, Wawasan Dengkil noted the sublease is for a tenure of 25 years.

The land is a combination of 10 pieces of land. The sublease shall commence from the site handover date or Dec 1, 2025.

The monthly lease payment shall be exempted for an initial period up to June 30, 2026. Thereafter, WDSKSB shall pay a monthly lease payment on a per-acre basis for 18 months period or until the commercial operation date, whichever occurs first.
