Ringgit opens higher as US$ slips after FOMC minutes


KUALA LUMPUR: The ringgit extended its rally, opening slightly higher against the US dollar on Wednesday as the greenback weakened after the release of the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) meeting minutes overnight.

At 8 am, the local currency edged up to 4.0425/0540 versus the dollar from Tuesday’s close of 4.0460/0505.
