Marine & General posts stronger 1H26 numbers

PETALING JAYA: Marine & General Bhd (M&G) posted a 13.4% year-on-year (y-o-y) growth in its net profit for the six months ended Oct 31, 2025, to RM28.4mil, in tandem with turnover which also grew by 7.3% to RM197.8mil.

The group said the stronger cumulative revenue showing was mainly driven by higher vessel utilisation and improved charter rates for offshore support vessel (OSVs), which has directly contributed to its better net profit.

M&G believes that normalisation in domestic charter rates and more competitive tendering in the near-term may influence margin outcomes for OSV operators, as the group keeps focus on operational reliability, cost management and vessel availability to support charter performance.
