PMB Technology reports warehouse fire at Samalaju silicon plant


KUALA LUMPUR: PMB Technology Bhd has reported that a fire broke out at its wholly-owned PMB Silicon Sdn Bhd plant in Samalaju Industrial Park on Nov 15, 2025.

“The fire started in one of the warehouses at the Samalaju facility and the blaze was contained to the warehouse.

“All other facilities remain unaffected, no inventories were lost and operations continue as normal,” the silicon metal and aluminium fabrication company said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia.

PMB Technology said based on its initial site examination assessment, the incident did not result in any material financial impact.

“The affected warehouse and the related facilities are adequately covered by insurance.”
