KUALA LUMPUR: AWC Bhd has secured a RM82.5mil contract from the Public Works Department (JKR) for facilities management and maintenance in Putrajaya.

In a statement, the engineering services group said the contract, awarded to its wholly-owned subsidiary Ambang Wira Facilities Sdn Bhd, is for facilities management and maintenance of buildings in Kompleks E, which house the Ministry of Education and the Department of National Unity and Integration in Presint 1, Putrajaya.

The five-year contract is expected to commence from Jan 1, 2026, to Dec 31, 2030.

Group chief executive officer/president Datuk Ahmad Kabeer Mohamed Nagoor said AWC values the continued partnership and is confident of delivering the project successfully, backed by its experience in both public and private sectors.

“This win would certainly enhance our earnings visibility and reinforce our recurring revenue base. On the other hand, the tender pipeline for the facilities division continues to be healthy as our team continues to pursue more opportunities.

“Premised upon our strong position and established credentials, we hope to share more good news soon. All in all, outlook is positive for the group while being mindful of the evolving macroeconomic landscape,” he said.

As at end-June 2025, AWC’s outstanding order book stood at RM597mil, excluding the latest contract.
