made the decision to spin off its leisure and hospitality assets into a new listed entity, aptly although not creatively named Genting Malaysia Bhd
(GenM).
The rationale then was simple – for both to focus on their core areas – Genting Bhd as a holding company involved in various industries and for GenM as a pure-play leisure and hospitality operator.
