RM230mil allocated to AIM to support women entrepreneurs under Budget 2026 - PM


KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim announced that RM230 million has been allocated to Amanah Ikhtiar Malaysia (AIM) in Budget 2026 to continue providing financing for women entrepreneurs.

Anwar, who is also the Finance Minister, said this brings AIM’s total available funding to RM2.9 billion, benefiting over 300,000 micro-entrepreneurs.

"AIM’s loan repayment performance is excellent, with a 99.97 per cent repayment rate,” he said while presenting Budget 2026 in the Dewan Rakyat today.

Anwar also announced that Bank Rakyat, Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN), Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA), and SME Bank will provide an additional RM270 million in financing to support women-led micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). - Bernama
