Ringgit snaps four-day winning streak to close lower on profit-taking


KUALA LUMPUR: The ringgit snapped its four-day uptrend to close marginally lower against the US dollar on Friday, as traders took profit amid the market uncertainty caused by the US government shutdown.

At 6 pm, the local note inched down to 4.2055/2125 against the greenback compared with Thursday’s close of 4.2040/2090.
