Index Saudi 2025 highlights Malaysian furniture design and creative excellence


Malaysian Furniture Exporter, Manufacturer & Designer Association (Meda) consultant Datuk Mohamed Razikin Zainal Abidean (left), pictured with his team. Established in December 2023, Meda aims to champion “Made in Malaysia, Designed in Malaysia” products and services in the global furniture and design market. Its members include export-ready furniture manufacturers, SMEs, furniture designers, art-deco specialists and interior design professionals.

MALAYSIA’S furniture and interior design sector achieved landmark success at Index Saudi Arabia 2025, securing RM205.8mil in sales, surpassing its RM200mil target.

Held from Sept 9 to 11 at the Riyadh Front Exhibition & Conference Center, the event highlighted Malaysia’s rising influence in the Middle East. — six under the Malaysia External Trade Development Corp (Matrade), together with key partners such as CTCS Worldwide and the Malaysian Furniture Exporter, Manufacturer & Designer Association (Meda), which showcased products from eight additional firms — highlighting Malaysia’s diverse industry offerings.

This success marks the second consecutive year of Malaysia’s strong presence at the exhibition, which has proven an effective platform for linking local companies with Saudi Arabia’s interior sector and boosting export diversification amid opportunities from Saudi Vision 2030 and the 2034 FIFA World Cup.
