TNB unit raises RM1.05bil via Asean Green SRI Sukuk Wakalah issuance


PETALING JAYA: Tenaga Nasional Bhd’s (TNB) unit, TNB Kuala Muda Solar Sdn Bhd (TNBKMS), has raised RM1.05bil through the issuance of Asean Green SRI Sukuk Wakalah.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, TNB noted TNBKMS is tasked with the design, engineering, procurement, construction, installation, testing, commissioning, ownership, operation and maintenance of a large-scale solar photovoltaic facility and the ancillary equipment and facilities with an installed capacity of 500MWac in Kuala Muda, Sungai Petani, Kedah.

The sukuk was issued in 17 tranches, the filing added. TNBKMS is a wholly-owned subsidiary of TNB Renewables Sdn Bhd, which in turn is a wholly-owned subsidiary of TNB.
