KUALA LUMPUR: Hong Leong Bank (HLB) has launched its new Meet @ HLB community branch at Kulim Hi-Tech Park (KHTP) in Kedah, reinforcing its support for Malaysia’s innovation economy and local businesses.
In a statement, the bank said the branch, located in one of the country’s key industrial hubs, is part of HLB’s five-year transformation plan to deliver more tailored financial solutions to the communities it serves.
It follows the rollout of the bank’s first Meet @ HLB community branch and the unveiling of its reimagined flagship branches earlier this year.
“High-value industries such as advanced manufacturing, electronics, and green technology are central to Malaysia’s growth ambitions, and financial services have a vital role in helping these businesses succeed.
“With this new community branch at Kulim Hi-Tech Park, we’re making banking more accessible to companies and entrepreneurs operating in this fast-growing ecosystem, while supporting the employees and residents who power its success,” group managing director and CEO Kevin Lam said.
The Meet @ HLB community branch at KHTP, launched following HLB’s partnership with Kulim Technology Park Corporation (KTPC) and the Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA) in August, will serve as a one-stop centre for businesses and residents. It is part of HLB’s Branch Transformation strategy to develop community-focused spaces offering advisory, financing, and digital services.
“This new community branch will also contribute significantly to the Bank’s broader strategy to strengthen its support for SMEs and businesses nationwide by combining innovative financing, cash management, and advisory services with convenient access through our branch network and digital platforms.
“By creating spaces like this, MNCs, SMEs and entrepreneurs can leverage our banking expertise, build financial resilience, and focus on growing their businesses in line with Malaysia’s high-value, innovation-led economy,” added Lam.
HLB first launched its new Meet @ HLB community branch concept at Eco Majestic, Semenyih, earlier this year, and will look to unveil even more reimagined branches across the country in the near future.
