Destini gets extension for Mindef contract

PETALING JAYA: Destini Bhd has secured a contract extension from the Defence Ministry (Mindef) for the supply of non-proprietary aircraft spare parts for the Royal Malaysian Air Force.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the integrated engineering solutions provider said the tenure of the contract, which expired on June 30, 2025, has been extended for another 18 months from July 1, 2025, to Dec 31, 2026.

“The value of the contract remains at RM403.75mil (combined ceiling with other 29 contractors).”

Destini said the contract will require the company to provide a performance bond when receiving orders from the government.

“The performance bond shall amount to 2.5% for orders more than RM200,000 and 5% for orders more than RM500,000.

“The contract is expected to contribute positively to the earnings and net assets of Destini for the financial year ending June 30, 2026, and the financial periods in the duration of the contract,” it said.
