EPF ceases to be major shareholder in Alliance Bank


PETALING JAYA: The Employees Provident Fund (EPF) has ceased to be a substantial shareholder in Alliance Bank Malaysia Bhd (ABMB) following the sale of 35.25 million shares in the bank.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, ABMB noted the EPF still holds some 4.475% or 77.4 million shares. This total includes 16.7 million shares recently purchased in the bank by the retirement fund.
