HSS Engineers' associate appointed design consultant for Northern Perak water supply scheme


KUALA LUMPUR: HSS Engineers Bhd's associate, SMHB Sdn Bhd, has been appointed the lead design consultancy (LDC) and detailed designs consultancy 4 (DDC4) services package for the Northern Perak Water Supply scheme and sale of excess treated water to Penang by Gamuda Engineering Sdn Bhd.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the group said the works for the contract, valued at RM34.01mil, commenced in June 2026, and is extimated to be completed 66 months from the commencement date.

"SMHB's scope of services under the Services comprises lead design consultancy for NPWSS and detailed design consultancy for the water treatment plant in NPWSS which includes preliminary, pre-final and final design, tender stage support and support during the construction and defects liability period for the project," it said.
