KUALA LUMPUR: Nestle Malaysia Bhd is confident over its ability to navigate global uncertainties and evolving consumer expectations to deliver robust financial results for FY26.

"As we enter the second half of 2026, our priorities remain clear: maintaining sales growth momentum via strengthening our core brands and scaling up innovations while expanding our presence across all commercial channels," said CEO Juan Aranols as he reviewed the group's latest quarterly results.

In the second quarter ended June 30, 2026, Nestle posted a net profit of RM155.02mil, up from RM112.11mil in the year-ago quarter.

Quarterly revenue improved to RM1.81bil from RM1.67bil in the same quarter in 2025.

Nestle said the improvement was supported by broad-based growth across categories, effective cost management and efficiencies across the value chain.

"Continued investment in innovation and brand building strengthened key categories such as coffee, nutrition and active lifestyle offerings under Malaysians’ favourite brands such as MILO, MAGGI, NESCAFÉ, and KITKAT, ensuring that the company's portfolio remains relevant for consumers across all demographic segments," it said.

Over the six-month period, net profit rose to RM360.13mil from RM273.45mil in the previous corresponding period, while revenue increased to RM3.69bil from RM3.44bil in the comparative period.

The group said it benefited from growth leverage and was supported by disciplined cost management and ongoing operational efficiencies during the first-half of the year.

In line with its performance, the group declared a first interim dividend of 80 sen per share, with entitlement date on Sept 3, 2026, and payable on Oct 1, 2026.

Aranold said the group remains focused on strengthening the capabilities that will sustain profitable growth in the years ahead, including investing in its employee talent and skills, advancing digitalisation and manufacturing excellence, and reinforcing Malaysia's position as a strategic Halal manufacturing and export hub for the Nestlé Group, while delivering a steady stream of relevant product innovations.

The company said it also continues to advance its sustainability programmes, further progressing on plastic circularity and the strengthening of its Halal ecosystem.
