Ta Ann records higher 2Q25 net profit

PETALING JAYA: Ta Ann Holdings Bhd’s net profit for the second quarter ended June 30, 2025 (2Q25) rose 11% year-on-year (y-o-y) to RM54.27mil or earnings per share of 12.32 sen. Revenue grew by 18% y-o-y to RM432.61mil.

Ta Ann said the higher revenue and profit were mainly driven by increased sales volumes of export logs and crude palm oil (CPO) by 30% and 15% respectively, coupled with favourable average selling prices for both products, which rose by 7% each.

During the current quarter, the group also recognised a gain of RM10.63mil from changes in the fair value of biological assets, compared to a gain of RM19.91mil in 2Q24.

Over the six-month period (6M25), Ta Ann posted a 4% y-o-y gain in its net profit to RM95.95mil, while revenue increased by 17% y-o-y to RM839.63mil. Higher average selling prices for CPO and fresh fruit bunches, which increased by 17% and 14% respectively, contributed to the increase in revenue and profit in 6M25.

Ta Ann declared a second interim dividend of 10 sen per share, with ex-date on Sept 10, 2025 and payment date on Sept 30, 2025.
