Insurer, BSN unveil new offering for B40 group

Since its debut in April, Qaseh Setia has provided coverage to more than 20,000 individuals.

KUALA LUMPUR: FWD Insurance Bhd and its bancassurance partner Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN) have officially unveiled Qaseh Setia, a microinsurance plan, as an effort to provide affordable financial support particularly to the B40 income group.

Since its debut in April, Qaseh Setia has provided coverage to more than 20,000 individuals, underscoring rising demand and growing public confidence in the microinsurance offering.

FWD chief executive officer Mak See Sen said, “Qaseh Setia reflects our unwavering commitment to making insurance truly accessible for all. It’s more than just a microinsurance policy – it’s a meaningful step toward empowering underserved communities, giving them the protection and confidence they deserve.”

He stressed that financial protection is not a luxury reserved only for the few. The goal is to make it reasonable and accessible to all Malaysians, while equipping them with knowledge to make informed financial decisions.

Designed with accessibility in mind, the Qaseh Setia plan requires no medical check-up upon enrolment, removing a major barrier for the B40 group.
