Samaiden in RM46mil land purchase

PETALING JAYA: Samaiden Group Bhd is proposing to acquire two parcels of agricultural land in Teluk Intan, Perak measuring approximately 185.57ha from Kelapa Sawit (Teluk Anson) Sdn Bhd for RM45.5mil.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the renewable energy solutions provider said the proposed acquisition will see the emergence of the company as owners of the land, on which solar farms will be developed.

“The properties, which have been earmarked by the group for the development of a solar farm, is situated in Teluk Intan where the annual solar thermal sunlight is high and is suitable for solar farm projects.

“It is strategically located in close proximity to an existing high-voltage substation, significantly reducing the complexity and cost of grid interconnection.” It said the properties may be used, developed, leased or otherwise used for upcoming solar jobs.
