Destini bags RM71mil rail maintenance job


PETALING JAYA: Destini Bhd has secured a contract by the Transport Ministry to carry out Level 3 maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) works for nine electric train sets (Class 93/2) worth RM71mil.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the integrated engineering solutions company said the 24-month engagement, running from July 2025 to June 2027, will involve train sets that are currently in service and have reached the 850,000-km threshold for Level 3 servicing.

Destini said the nine electric train sets secured under the contract are in addition to the 10 electric train sets secured for Level 4 MRO works in 2022, further strengthening the group’s recurring rail portfolio.

In the same statement, Destini executive director Ismail Mustaffa said: “This engagement reinforces Destini’s role as a key contributor to the advancement of Malaysia’s rail industry, showcasing our technical capabilities and our commitment.”
