Dayang’s 1Q showing declines


Dayang reported a net profit of RM12.31mil for its first quarter.

PETALING JAYA: Dayang Enterprise Holdings Bhd has secured a work order for the provision of a landing craft tank from PETRONAS Carigali Sdn Bhd.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the oil and gas company said the contract is based on work orders issued by PETRONAS Carigali throughout the contract duration, which is approximately 256 days and with an option to extend up to 60 days.

Separately, Dayang reported a net profit of RM12.31mil for its first quarter ended March 31, 2025, down from RM27.91mil in the previous corresponding quarter. Revenue dropped to RM153.82mil from RM247.12mil.

Dayang said the lower revenue was mainly attributable to a lower vessel utilisation rate of 26% as compared to 48% in the previous corresponding quarter.
