Ringgit weakens against US dollar, gains versus other currencies


KUALA LUMPUR: The ringgit closed lower against the US dollar today as investors scaled back their expectations for the United States Federal Reserve (Fed) to cut interest rates.

This shift led to higher US treasury yields and a stronger greenback.
