CelcomDigi appoints Jon Omund Revhaug as deputy chairman

PETALING JAYA: CelcomDigi Bhd has appointed Norwegian national, Jon Omund Revhaug, 58 as its deputy chairman and non-independent non-executive director, effective March 21, 2025.

He replaces fellow countryman Haakon Bruaset Kjoel, 53, who has resigned from Telenor Asia Pte Ltd and Group, according to exchange filings by CelcomDigi.

Omund currently serves as an executive vice president and head of Telenor Nordics of Norwegian majority state-owned multinational telecommunications firm Telenor Group.

He is also a representative of Telenor Malaysia Investments Pte Ltd, a major shareholder of CelcomDigi.

According to a Bursa filing, he will abstain from deliberating and voting on the transactions between Telenor Malaysia and CelcomDigi.
