MCE wins RM22mil US contract from Michigan-based automotive supplier

KUALA LUMPUR: MCE Holdings Bhd, through its subsidiary Multi-Code Electronics Industries (M) Bhd, has secured a RM22.13mil contract to supply mechatronics components to Michigan-based automotive supplier JVIS USA LLC.

The Johor-based automotive part maker said it would be supplying the components for a new vehicle model in the United States under the 60-month contract, with production scheduled to begin in the first quarter of its financial year ending July 31, 2027.

Meanwhile, MCE has also partnered with Sounding Industries Ltd, a subsidiary of Hong Kong-based Eagle Group, to establish a new joint venture (JV) focused on non-automotive contract manufacturing.

The partnership, structured as a 50:50 JV through MCE’s wholly owned subsidiary MCE Ventures Sdn Bhd, will provide contract manufacturing services for a wide range of non-automotive products. — Bernama
