FBM KLCI sinks to one-year low amid broad selloff

KUALA LUMPUR: Bursa Malaysia was in the red on Tuesday as a broad-based selloff sent over 900 stocks tumbling, while only 200 managed to stay afloat, painting a grim picture of investor sentiment

At closing, the benchmark FBM KLCI fell 16.31 points, or 1.06%, to 1,520.15—its lowest since early February 2024—after recovering from an intraday low of 1,514.48. Today’s move is the biggest since falling 1.24% on Sept 11.
