Erdasan suspends executive director over dubious transactions probe


KUALA LUMPUR: Erdasan Group Bhd has suspended Mak Siew Wei from all his duties, powers, and obligations as executive director of the company and its subsidiaries.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the industrial automation support products and services provider said the suspension is pending further enquiry into possible dubious transactions from 2020 and 2021.

“The board had engaged a legal counsel, Eric Tan of Messrs. Ong Kok Bin & Co to advise the company over the next course of action. The company shall also engage with the relevant authorities, if needed,” Erdasan said.

Erdasan closed down 0.5 sen, or 5.88%, to eight sen with 112,700 shares traded
