KUALA LUMPUR: Cypark Resources Bhd has announced that the Danau Tok Uban floating solar plant (DTU) in Kelantan, Malaysia’s largest floating solar installation, has officially achieved its commercial operations date (COD) for the remaining 30MWac floating solar plant known as DTU1.

This comes following the 30MWax DTU2 plant achieving COD on Jan 7, 2025.

The combined 60MWac floating solar facility is now fully operational and supplying clean energy to the national grid.

According to the group, this marks the successful completion of all outstanding projects under Cypark’s reconstituted board and new senior management.

"Achieving COD for Danau Tok Uban represents more than just a project completion—it signifies a transformation in Cypark’s capabilities and leadership.

"Over the past year, we have strengthened our management and engineering teams, successfully completed key renewable energy projects, and resolved outstanding challenges to position Cypark as Malaysia’s leading renewable energy company," said Cypark executive chair Datuk Ami Moris in a statement.

Cypark executive director Muhammad Ashraf said the company's next phase will firmly focus on expanding its role in Malaysia’s green energy landscape, particularly through new growth initiatives and opportunities such as the German Tech Park in Melaka and future floating solar developments at Lake Kenyir.
