PEB secures five-year offshore services contract from PETRONAS Carigali


KUALA LUMPUR: Petra Energy Bhd (PEB) has secured a contract from PETRONAS Carigali Sdn Bhd (PCSB) for the provision of Pan-Malaysia offshore maintenance, construction, modification (MCM), and hook-up & commissioning (HUC) services.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, PEB said the contract awarded to its subsidiary, Petra Resources Sdn Bhd (PRSB), was for a period of five years from Sept 27, 2024.

The contract also includes an extension option of up to five years, consisting of a three-year extension with an additional two years.

“The contract entails the provision of MCM and HUC services for PCSB in Sarawak,” it said.

Separately, PEB said PRSB also secured several contracts from SapuraOMV Upstream (Sarawak) Inc, JX Nippon Oil & Gas Exploration (Malaysia) Limited and ROC Oil (Sarawak) Sdn Bhd for the provision of Pan-Malaysia offshore MCM and HUC services.

The contracts are for a period of five years from the effective date, with an extension option of up to five years, comprising a three-year extension plus an additional two years.
