Citaglobal to collaborate with German WTE firm LAWI Engineering

KUALA LUMPUR: Citaglobal Bhd has entered into a binding term sheet with German Waste-to-Energy (WTE) technology and engineering company LAWI Engineering GmbH for exclusive discussions and collaboration over LAWI Germany’s technical and engineering solutions.

The solutions consist of LAWI Germany's patented combustion system, boiler engineering and design, LAWI EtaComb, LAWI EtaPlant and LAWI EtaLogic, which will be offered to waste management projects identified and targeted by Citaglobal and its affiliated entities.

According to a statement issued by Citaglobal, the exclusive collaboration with LAWI Germany will enable the parties to monetise the licensing of LAWI Germany’s technology/products to potential partners, besides providing the usual suite of engineering services.

Citaglobal recently set up a new waste management division, which is a spin off from the collaboration between Citaglobal and Shanghai SUS Environment Co Ltd group (SUS).

“The opportunities in waste management and WTE are significant, particularly with a reputable technology partner like LAWI Germany at the core of our group's waste management division.

"This collaboration positions us strongly to secure contracts and explore strategic licensing collaborations with neighboring countries, driving value for our stakeholders,” said Tan Sri Mohamad Norza Zakaria, executive chairman and president of Citaglobal.
