GEORGE TOWN: General Malaysia aims to grow and better serve a diverse clientele in the north through its new Penang branch office.

Generali Insurance Malaysia chief executive officer Fabrice Bernard said the state's location allows the group to set a new benchmark for the company's commitment to growth and customer service in the northern region.

"This standalone office reflects our commitment to providing an exceptional customer experience and an inspiring environment for employees.

"We are excited to be part of Penang's vibrant community and look forward to serving customers from this remarkable location.

"This latest addition to Generali's network is the largest branch launched this year, completing a series of strategic expansions that underscore the company's robust presence in Malaysia," he said.

The opening follows the recent launch of the Sibu branch, further demonstrating Generali Malaysia's commitment to enhancing its footprint across the country.

The Penang branch is equipped with solar panels, reinforcing the company's commitment to environmental responsibility and alignment with sustainability goals.

"Located in the heart of Penang, this branch is housed in a fully renovated standalone building that seamlessly blends modern design.

The spacious interiors are thoughtfully crafted to provide a welcoming environment for customers and a conducive workspace for employees while also accommodating the growing needs of Generali Malaysia's clientele by offering comprehensive general and life insurance services all under one roof," he said.

Generali Insurance Malaysia Berhad chief executive officer Fabrice Benard officiated the new branch opening at Jalan Brown.

Benard is also Generali Entities in Malaysia country head.

Also present were Generali Life Insurance Malaysia Berhad's chief executive officer, Rebecca Tan, Generali Insurance Malaysia Berhad's chief distribution officer, Jeremy Yeap, and Generali Malaysia's agents, partners, and customers.

In 2023, Generali unfolded a new growth chapter with the launch of a single, unified brand, Generali Malaysia ― one of the largest general insurers and emerging life insurers in Malaysia backed by over 1,600 employees, more than 9,000 agents and partners and an extensive network of branches nationwide.
