Magna Prima proposes name change to Hallson Group

KUALA LUMPUR: Magna Prima Bhd has proposed changing its name to Hallson Group Bhd, subject to shareholders' approval.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the property developer said the proposed name had been approved and reserved by the Companies Commission of Malaysia (CCM) on Oct 19.

Magna Prima said it would seek an extension of the name reservation before its expiry.

The proposed name change is subject to shareholders' approval at an extraordinary general meeting to be convened at a later date.

The company said a circular with details of the proposal would be issued to shareholders in due course.

If approved, the name change will take effect upon the issuance of a Notice of Registration of New Name by the CCM.
