Malaysia's March manufacturing sales value grows 1.4% to RM158.4bil


KUALA LUMPUR:The sales value of Malaysia's manufacturing sector expanded by 1.4 per cent, year-on-year (y-o-y) to RM158.4 billion in March 2024, according to the Department of Statistics Malaysia (DOSM).

In a statement today, chief statistician Datuk Seri Dr Mohd Uzir Mahidin said the increase in the sales value marked a positive y-o-y trend for the third consecutive month, which was primarily driven by a 9.6 per cent growth in non-metallic mineral products, basic metal and fabricated metal products.
