Bursa Malaysia to suspend trading in BHIC Securities on Aug 7


KUALA LUMPUR: Bursa Malaysia will suspend trading in the securities of Boustead Heavy Industries Corporation Bhd (BHIC) from 9 am on Friday, Aug 7, 2026, to facilitate the implementation of the company’s selective capital reduction and repayment exercise.

Bursa Malaysia said that the exercise would be undertaken pursuant to Section 116 of the Companies Act 2016.

Bursa Malaysia also advised investors to refer to BHIC’s announcement dated July 24, 2026, as well as the notice to shareholders and redeemable convertible preference shareholders dated July 27, 2026, for further details.

At 12.30 pm, BHIC shares rose one sen to 48 sen, with 37,600 shares traded. - Bernama
