Bank Negara holds OPR firm at 3%

KUALA LUMPUR: Bank Negara kept the overnight policy rate (OPR) steady at 3% after its monetary policy committee (MPC) meeting, a move widely expected by economists.

According to a Reuters poll of economists, Bank Negara will leave its key interest rate at 3.00% for the sixth consecutive meeting and hold rates steady until at least 2026.
