Quick take: Harvest Miracle most active counter in early trade


KUALA LUMPUR: Harvest Miracle Capital Bhd is the most active stock on Bursa Malaysia in early trade Friday.

The information technology and property construction company added one sen to 12.5 sen at 10.58am. It is the most heavily traded counter on Bursa Malaysia with 105.89 million shares done. The counter has risen over 8% in the past five trading days.

No significant corporate developments were found in the group's recent filings, except for the appointment of a new director.

Harvest Miracle has appointed Lim Peng Peng, 43, as an independent and non executive director on April 9. She also sits on the board of SCGM Bhd.

Lim graduated from Monash University, Malaysia with a Bachelor of Business and Commerce degree. She is a chartered accountant and a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants and a member of the CPA Australia.

In the first nine months to Dec 31, 2023, Harvest Miracle posted a net profit of RM5mil, up 18.2% from RM4.2mil posted in the same period last year. Revenue, however, tumbled 39% to RM65.6mil from RM107.3mil a year prior.
