Duopharma gets another six-month contract extension

PETALING JAYA: Duopharma Biotech Bhd has received a six-month contract extension for the supply of pharmaceutical and non-pharmaceutical products to government-run hospitals and clinics.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, Duopharma said the contract extension was secured by its wholly-owned subsidiary, Duopharma (M) Sdn Bhd (DMSB).

“DMSB has received a letter from Pharmaniaga Logistics Sdn Bhd, notifying DMSB that the contract period of the supply agreements for the supply of the products listed in the letter have been further extended until Dec 31, 2023, or such other date as may be directed by the government, which could be earlier or later.”

The initial contract was from Dec 1, 2017 to Nov 30, 2019. It was then extended three times to June 30, 2023.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, Duopharma did not state the value of the supply agreement.

Past exchange filings reveal Duopharma clinched the supply contract beginning Dec 1, 2017 till Nov 30, 2019, with an estimated value of RM156mil.

Pharmaniaga Logistics is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Pharmaniaga Bhd, which is under Practice Note 17 status.
