KUALA LUMPUR: SKS Airways has appointed Dzuleira Abu Bakar as chief executive officer (CEO) effective Sept 15.

She will take over the reins from the current acting CEO and executive director Datuk Rohman Ahmad, who will continue his service on the board of SKS Airways as executive director.

Prior to joining SKS Airways, Dzuleira was the CEO of the Malaysian Research Accelerator for Technology & Innovation (MRANTI).

SKS Airways, in a statement, said Dzuleira is a visionary leader with more than 20 years of excellent track record in the areas of business transformation, venture capital, entrepreneurship, investments, and the technology industry.

“It's an exciting time to be part of this dynamic industry. The global aviation scene is experiencing tremendous growth fueled by never-before-seen demand, and this signals a very strong growth trajectory for airlines in the region.

“I look forward to leading and growing SKS Airways on the back of this momentum, and capitalising on its full potential as a regional airline,” Dzuleira said.
