THE financial performance of real estate investment trusts (REITs) for the quarter ended June 30 has been mixed, indicating that challenges still persist despite the better economic outlook.

Among the companies that released their financial results recently was Axis-REIT, which saw its net profit for the second quarter ended June 30 dropping to RM34.72mil from RM46.79mil in the previous corresponding period.
