Sime Darby Plantation chairman Megat Najmuddin retires

KUALA LUMPUR: Tan Sri Megat Najmuddin Megat Khas has retired as chairman of Sime Darby Plantation Bhd (SDP).

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, SDP said Megat Najmuddin, 79, will be succeeded by Tan Sri Dr Nik Norzrul Thani N. Hassan Thani.

“The Board of SDP extends its deep appreciation to Megat Najmuddin for his invaluable contribution and services to the SDP Group during his tenure as director and chairman of the SDP Group.

Megat Najmuddin was formerly a director of PETRONAS, chairman of Tradewinds Corp Bhd, member of the National Economic Consultative Council 2 and president of the Malaysian Institute of Corporate Governance.
