Trading ideas: Mulpha, Globetronics, Zelan, Axiata, Cosmos Technology


KUALA LUMPUR: Mulpha International Bhd, Globetronics Technology Bhd, Zelan Bhd, Axiata Group Bhd, Cosmos Technology International Bhd and Brem Holdings Bhd are among the stocks to watch, according to Apex Securities.

Mulpha International has secured a RM478mil green syndicated construction facility in Australia.

Globetronics Technology Bhd’s 1QFY23 net profit fell by 65.08% to RM3.3mil.

Zelan has been categorised as a Practice Note 17 (PN17) company after its external auditors expressed a disclaimer of opinion on its FY22 audited financial statements.

Axiata plans to merge its 82.27%-owned Sri Lankan subsidiary, Dialog Axiata Plc, with Indian telco Bharti Airtel Ltd’s operations in Sri Lanka.

Cosmos Technology bags RM4mil job from Air Selangor.

Brem Holdings has ceased to be a substantial shareholder in Titijaya Land Bhd, after its 48.33%-owned unit sold 7.7 million shares.

Radiant Globaltech Bhd is acquiring the remaining 20% stake in a subsidiary for RM12.61mil.

PUC proposes another private placement of 30% existing share base to raise RM16mil.

Overnight, the US market plunged as investors anticipate a 500 basis point rate hike after the Federal Reserve’s policy meeting later today.

Similarly, European markets were lower ahead of the Fed’s interest rate decision.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 367.17 points, or 1.08%, to 33,684.53, the S&P 500 lost 48.29 points, or 1.16%, to 4,119.58 and the Nasdaq Composite dropped 132.09 points, or 1.08%, to 12,080.51.

“Following the negative performance in Wall Street, the FBM KLCI could see profit taking and hover above the support of 1,393 points,” Apex said.
