Selangor to attract investments from Taiwan


Mida said Selangor was the top investment performer in Malaysia for the past five years, with a total of RM31.2bil in domestic direct investment and RM36.4bil in foreign direct investment.

PETALING JAYA: Selangor state executive councillor Datuk Teng Chang Khim has led a delegation to Taiwan to present Selangor’s uniqueness to attract potential investors, with the aim of strengthening Selangor’s status as a preferred investment location within Asean.

The Malaysian Investment Development Authority’s (Mida) Taipei office, in collaboration with Invest Selangor (the Selangor state government’s investment promotion agency), recently met with potential Taiwanese investors to update them on the state government’s ongoing efforts to build a robust business ecosystem.This includes the establishment of the Integrated Development Region in South Selangor (Idriss) under the First Selangor Plan 2021–2025 and the development of Selangor’s first Managed Industrial Park, NCT Smart Industrial Park (NSIP).
