CCK Q4 profit rises 81% on higher sales

PETALING JAYA: CCK Consolidated Holdings Bhd’s revenue for the fourth quarter ended Dec 31, 2022 (4Q22) increased by 25.2% year-on-year (y-o-y) to RM234.9mil on contribution from the recently acquired subsidiary PT Bonanza Pratama Abadi and improved performance in its poultry and retail segments on recovery in consumer demand.

Net profit for the quarter rose 81% y-o-y to RM12.98mil or earnings per share of 2.08 sen, its exchange filing yesterday noted.

Revenue from its Indonesian manufacturing operations (in Pontianak and Jakarta) amounted to RM37.3 mil in 4Q22, a downtick of 5.3% y-o-y due to a reduction in overall sales volumes as weaker consumer sentiment affected demand for its in-house manufactured processed products.
