PETALING JAYA: Bursa Malaysia Bhd
has launched Bursa Carbon Exchange (BCX), the country’s pioneer voluntary carbon market (VCM) and the first syariah-compliant carbon exchange in the world, which it said would diversify the product universe for environmental, social and governance (ESG) and syariah-compliant products.
The objective of the BCX is to enable companies to trade voluntary carbon credits from climate-friendly projects and solutions, with the aim to offset their emission footprint and meet climate goals.
