Lotte Chemical to see rising competition, demand weakness


Lotte Chemical Plant Johor's (pic) competitor PETRONAS Chemicals Group Bhd is slated to launch the commercial operations of its new polymer plant facility at Pengerang, Johor, by late this year.

PETALING JAYA: Rising competition and demand weakness is expected to put further pressure on Lotte Chemical Titan Holding Bhd (LCT), which slipped into the red in the second quarter (2Q) of financial year 2022 (FY22).

Its competitor Petronas Chemicals Group Bhd is slated to launch the commercial operations of its new polymer plant facility at Pengerang, Johor, by late this year.
