KUALA LUMPUR: Rohas Tecnic Bhd’s subsidiary, HG Power Transmission Sdn Bhd (HGPT) has secured a contract worth US$14.56mil (RM65.65mil) from Nepal Electricity Authority.
The utility infrastructure group, in a Bursa filing, said the contract involved the design, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of 132 kilovolts(kV) transmission lines conductor upgrading (procurement of plant).
The contract is expected to commence in the third quarter of this year and for a period of two and a half years.
Rohas Tecnic said the contract is funded by the Asian Development Bank and was secured in an open international tender. This is HGPT’s first successful award in Nepal.
“The contract is expected to have a positive impact on Rohas Tecnic group’s results for the year ending Dec 31, 2022 and in the future,” it said.
