KUALA LUMPUR: MyDCD Bhd aims to raise RM187.6 million from its initial public offering (IPO) ahead of its listing on Bursa Malaysia’s ACE Market on Nov 17, 2026.

The engineering services provider’s IPO comprises a public issue of 335 million new shares at an IPO price of 56 sen apiece, and an offer for sale of 145 million existing shares.

"Of the RM187.6 million gross proceeds to be raised from the public issue, 71.43 per cent or RM134 million has been earmarked for working capital requirements, primarily to support the execution of projects and to fund performance bonds.

"A further of 21.27 per cent or RM39.9 million will be utilised for the expansion of business operations through the recruitment of additional personnel, rental of new office space and staff training, while 2.66 per cent or RM5.0 million will be allocated for the enhancement of information technology systems,” it said in a statement.

The remaining RM8.7 million will be used to defray listing expenses.

MyDCD chief executive officer Chris Ow Yong said the company, which specialises in the integration of mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection (MEPF) systems for critical infrastructure, particularly data centres, expects continued growth opportunities in the sector as the digital economy expanded.

"Over the last 15 years, we have always been in data centre, growing year-on-year. We see data centre will continue to grow as the digital economy continues to expand,” he said at a press conference following the launch of the company’s IPO prospectus here today.

He said MyDCD’s operations are currently concentrated in the Klang Valley, with projects primarily focused on enterprise and colocation data centres.

The company plans to explore opportunities in other parts of Malaysia after its listing, although it has no immediate plans to expand overseas, he said.

Ow said the company’s maintenance business is also expected to grow as more data centre projects were completed.

"Maintenance will continue to grow as we finish more jobs...there will be more maintenance jobs for us,” he added.

He added that maintenance work typically commenced one to two years after a project has been completed, complementing the company’s data centre construction activities.

According to the prospectus, MyDCD’s enlarged share capital upon listing will comprise 1.794 billion shares, giving it an estimated market capitalisation of RM1.00 billion based on the IPO price of 56 sen per share.

Applications for the IPO opens today and will close at 5 pm on Nov 2, 2026.
