Vietnam apparel industry sees stable growth

HANOI: Despite the devastating impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, Vietnam’s textile and garment industry has seen stable growth, recording an export turnover of US$8.84bil (RM37bil) in the first quarter of 2022 with an increase of 22.5% against the same period last year.

In many industries, especially labour-intensive ones like the textile and garment industry, labour shortages during the Covid-19 pandemic have directly impacted apparel manufacturers’ production and business activities.
