PETALING JAYA: KHK Group and Melbourne-based property Beulah set a new benchmark for clocking RM1.2bil sales for Australia’s most anticipated projects, STH BNK By Beulah.

In a joint statement, it said the unprecedented sales made it the highest value sold in a single day for an apartment launch in Australia and Malaysia’s history.

Buyers flocked to the official launch on Saturday, April 2 to purchase their preferred apartment, after KHK and Beulah received over 700 registrations throughout its expression of interest campaign, with buyers required to put down a RM15,000 deposit to reserve their spot.

“The RM1.2bil sales include a record-breaking RM110mil sub-penthouse which is now Melbourne’s most expensive apartment to date, spanning 10,800sqft across an entire floor and featuring double-height ceilings.

“The buyer, whose identity remains confidential, is choosing to customise the apartment as part of STH BNK’s Tailored Living offering with the number of bedrooms and baths yet to be confirmed,” it said.

Beulah managing director Jiaheng Chan said the demand experienced on the first day of launch far exceeded any expectations, with buyers eager to own a slice of Australia’s most talked-about project.

“We are overwhelmed by the support shown by the public who understand our vision for STH BNK By Beulah. We had all types of buyer demographics come through the sales suite on the weekend, from first home buyers through to large families.

“The launch day was absolutely buzzing, we had buyers lining up, eager to be the first to choose their preferred apartment with many saying the opportunity to have the world at their feet was too good to pass up.

“We successfully sold out Stage 1 and had to bring forward Stage 2 to cater to buyer demand. They will have access to world-class amenities and offerings not yet explored in Australia, a mini-metropolis that truly is the next evolution of living,” Chan said.

Meanwhile, KHK Group chairman Tan Sri Kong Hon Kong said the single day sales record was unprecedented.

“I have never seen anything like this, RM1.2bil sales in a single day is unprecedented, we are very thankful for the support given to us by the Australian public.

“We cannot wait to offer this to the Malaysian public at the end of May with our Stage 2 exclusive release.”

The highest sales were attributable to three-bedroom apartments with prices starting from RM4.66mil, followed by two-bedroom and one-bedroom, starting from RM2.57mil and RM1.96mil respectively.
