No dent on profits from spectrum acceptance

TA Securities said this was a positive move for the telcos, as it allowed them to continue with ongoing commitment to strengthen the 4G network coverage and quality.

PETALING JAYA: The acceptance of the respective spectrum assignment by Malaysia’s three big mobile network operators (MNOs) will have minimal impact on earnings while enhancing their service offerings.

Last Friday, Axiata Group Bhd, Digi.Com Bhd and Maxis Bhd made separate announcements that they had accepted the offer from the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) for spectrum assignments in the 2600MHz band.
