Labuan Shipyard & Engineering Sdn Bhd (LSE) has secured a contract from Harbour 360 to build the tug boat.

KUALA LUMPUR: Radimax Group Sdn Bhd’s subsidiary Labuan Shipyard & Engineering Sdn Bhd (LSE) has secured a contract from Harbour 360 Sdn Bhd to build a 24–metre all-rounder 360 tug (AR360T).

The company, which is part of the Sapura Energy Bhd group, said on Wednesday the contract signing ceremony for the project was held virtually on June 25. The project is expected to be completed in 12 months.

The ceremony was attended by the project owner, Harbour 360 Sdn Bhd, LSE and the vessel’s designer, NVS Maritime Consultancy Sdn Bhd..

LSE said the fey features of the AR360T are reduced fuel consumption, pollution and engine running hours, superb manoeuvrability, safer operations and better performance at higher speeds.

Among recent vessels that have been successfully built and delivered by LSE include two units of 82-metre offshore work/accommodation vessels and a 77-metre DP2 diesel propulsion electric platform supply vessel.

Previously completed projects include three tugboats for Bintulu Port.
