Trading ideas: Poly Glass, HeiTech Padu, Tadmax, Sime Darby


KUALA LUMPUR: Stocks to watch on Friday include Poly Glass Fibre (M) Bhd, Heitech Padu Bhd, Tadmax Resources Bhd and Sime Darby Bhd, according to JF Apex Research.

Poly Glass Fibre is venturing into the manufacturing of melt-blown non-woven fabric, a vital component of surgical face masks.

HeiTech Padu has bagged a RM126.02mil maintenance and technical support services contract from the Road Transport Department of Malaysia (JPJ).

Tadmax Resources is buying a 70% stake in a firm which is in the process of acquiring a strategically located piece of land in Cheras for its property development business.

Sime Darby said it is willing to part with its stake in Eastern and Oriental Bhd (E&O) if it can secure the right price.

JF Apex noted that Kossan, Apex Healthcare, KUB, Maybank, OCK, Nova Wellness, YSP Southeast Asia, KKB Engineering, ARB reported better year-on-year quarterly results.

TSH Resources, CMMT, Genting Malaysia, Genting Bhd, Sime Darby Property, Petron Malaysia, Inari, UEM Edgenta, Sunway Construction, BAT, Axiata, MBM Resources, Sime Darby, Parkson, LTKM, CJ Century, GFM Services posted weaker year-on-year quarterly net earnings.

Meanwhile, US markets declined overnight following higher jobless claims and rising US-China trade tension.

Earlier, European stocks retreated after slower PMI data on manufacturing and services industry.

“Following the negative performances in the US and Europe, the FBM KLCI could see profit taking from recent gains and stay below the resistance of 1,455 points,” JF Apex said.
